Rebranding CBS Students

CBS Students is the student union at Copenhagen Business School. By totally reshaping the visual identity of the student union we pivoted their brand into something that reflected their values and independence.

CHALLENGE

Separating from the shadow of management

CBS Students is a cool student union. They represent the students, oversee all student organizations, own and manage the school's cafeteria, café, and merch as well as organize several events for the students throughout the year. In spite of this, their visual brand was not entirely defined and it mirrored CBS's own very much. We were to come in and make the union realize their values and upon them, create a visual identity that represented them as their own entity.

PROCESS

Creating a total overhaul of self-realization

Before even thinking in visuals we wanted to create a workshop with CBS Students where we could pinpoint exactly what characteristics they wanted (and didn't want) to be associated with. With this in mind, we started a close collaboration with the student union and gradually developed a visual style and logo they could identify with and the students could feel represented by. 

RESULTS

Extensively changing identity

We created a new and youthful visual style for the student union complete with logo and comprehensive design guidelines. We delivered a vast amount of material and templates including posters, banners, presentation slides, and email signatures but we also made it easy for them to make their own creations ensuring long term sustainability. And we also made them a video for them to showcase their newly baptized brand.
