Modern design for a classical platform to give classical music enthusiasts across Scandinavia an easy, central place to find and advertise concerts, we designed and developed the Live Klassisk platform from the bottom up.
Live Klassisk was created out of its founders' desire to connect classical music enthusiasts with musicians and venues in Scandinavia that were, at the time, widely dispersed across dozens of sites. We set off to design and develop a single platform that realized their ideas to connect the classical music world, and provide a single source to list, promote, and discover events and ensembles.
We drew inspiration from minimalistic Nordic design to create the look-and-feel for a platform devoted to classical music concerts in Scandinavia. To smoothly transition this design from the page to the web, we included the development team early on in the process. In combining this early inclusion with an intense development process, we finished development in just eight weeks with a final product that closely matched the original design.
The Scandinavian classical music scene is now accessible at the click of a button. Venues and performers can both list and promote events. Concert-goers can use the advanced filters and geolocation to find concerts, venues, ensembles, and even festivals that suit their musical taste and are nearby. On its launch in August 2020, the platform already had over 1000 concerts listed.
