Global tech trends illustrated with AI
Mandated by the Danish Government, Innovation Centre Denmark (ICDK) and TechBBQ partnered on a project driven by the ambition to provide an answer to the question “which areas of technology will come to dominate the future of business, science, and innovation?”.
The outcome was 20 short reports each covering a specific tech trend. Our role in this was to create a digital universe which mirrors the tech trends and their potential for changing the future.
The main task in this project was to find a better way to present the reports than an static report.
We wanted to not only make it visually pleasing, but also provide additional ways for the readers to explore different topics.
In collaboration with TechBBQ and ICDK we specified the goals of the project and how we can make the reports from each of the global innovation centres come alive in their own unique way.
For this type of website project Webflow is our weapon of choice. In the process of creating imagery for the reports decided to tap into one of the trending pieces of tech this year; image-generating AI algorithms. We opted for Midjourney to create the unique artworks.
The result was a colourful microsite with subtle interactions.
Each tech trend report gets a unique expression with a custom AI generated artwork to represent it.
Filtering, searching and crosslinking to make it easy to explore the site and discover the different reports.
