EV-remarketing is one of the largest buyers of used electric cars in Europe.

Kvalifik helped digitalize and automate their entire value chain with a custom build platform, allowing them to focus less on cold calling, negotiation and excel sheets, and more on scaling their business.

Since launching the platform, their revenue has increased by 20-40% each year.

the challenge

The used car trade is characterized by unreliable actors, a lack of transparency, and inefficient manual processes. EV Remarketing aimed to change this.

When they came to Kvalifik in 2021, the company was being run using a gigantic Excel spreadsheet and long, confusing email threads. The manual processes naturally limited growth.

At the same time, fraud was a serious challenge—sellers attempted to sell cars they didn't even own.

The strategy was clear: Digitalize and automate the entire value chain for buying and selling electric vehicles across countries in Europe - Providing sellers with a fast, simple, and reliable way to market their cars, while allowing for better prices.

Automating the buying flow

The team used to browse car markets and cold contact sellers via email or phone. Now the sellers come to the EV-Remarketing website themselves, where most of their car info is fetched by simply providing a VIN number.

Our platform guides users in taking pictures of their car and marking any damages, ensuring high-quality images that help achieve the best possible price and expedite resale to dealers in Denmark.

We have developed a process that guides the seller through all the legal and practical steps in selling their car, including performing a factory reset to remove their personal information.

Automating the selling flow

Selling a car is easier for the EV team than ever! Info and images are gathered during the buying flow, so after signing the contract, the system suggests a price, and with a simple confirmation, the car is ready for purchase.

The cars are sold on an online marketplace accessible to selected car dealers.

This level of automation allows pricing to be so competitive that negotiation is unnecessary. All cars are sold at a fixed price with set discounts for bulk orders.

Admin panel for easy orchestration

The administration panel is now helping the EV team in three major ways: offers, security, logistics and bookkeeping.

Offers

No more manual research when making an offer. A specialized AI will use the available data to predicts car prices. We also list similar cars on Bilbasen and display a graph of past accepted and declined offers for ease, enabling the EV team to decide the offer almost instantly.

security

Fraud is common in this area with large transactions and hidden sellers. Moving everything to digital enables automated, effective risk reduction:

  • IP logging and photo geolocation shown on a map to highligt outliers.
  • Comparison of faces in ID photos, selfies, and car reflections.
  • OCR on documents, cross-referenced with given and retrieved information, to flag mismatches in names, addresses, and car details.
Logistics

As offers are accepted on the platform, they will be grouped into suggested truckloads based on their location. Logistics parents can log in and bid on these. The EV team only needs to confirm the transport.

Bookkeeping

With every purchase and every sale going throug the platform we can provide the EV team with up to date information about whats in stock and for how long allowing them to optimize the capacity needed.

Lead generation and support

What a great tool worth if no one can find it?We designed and built a sleek, responsive, SEO-optimized website that helps sellers across Europe discover the platform. The site builds trust with clear information and simple guides on the entire sales process.

Webflow makes it easy for us to create and maintain a site with clean structure, attracting the right audience without the need for expensive ad campaigns.

Both the website and platform are integrated with a unified server-side Google Tag Manager setup. This allows the EV team to make informed decisions on future changes and additions.
